The Body Relationship® Method
A proprietary framework that reframes wellness as a relationship, built around capacity, context, and care.
Every wellness practice is filtered through your relationship with your body. That’s why Body Relationship® isn’t separate from wellness. It shapes all of it.
Why This Method Exists
Most wellness models begin with what a person should do: more discipline, more consistency, more effort offered up as proof of care.
For people in marginalized bodies and those navigating chronic illness, that starting point has often meant shame, exhaustion, and care that never quite fit the life being lived.
Ivy Felicia developed the Body Relationship® Method around a different question: what would care look like if it were built around your actual capacity, context, and experience? Shaped by her lived experience and more than a decade of professional practice, the Method answers that question through relationship first.
Core Principles
Four principles guide every part of the Body Relationship® Method, from direct coaching to self-directed practice.
1. Relationship Over Control
What kind of relationship do you have with your body right now?
In Practice
The Method tends that relationship first, before any routine, goal, or plan is asked to carry the weight.
2. Capacity Over Performance
What can your body hold today?
In Practice
The Method builds care around your current capacity, and lets that care shift with illness, energy, stress, and season.
3. Context Matters
What is shaping your experience of wellness?
In Practice
The Method brings health, access, culture, trauma, and identity into the center of care, so your support reflects the life you are living.
4. Care Is Not Compliance
What care would you choose for yourself?
In Practice
Every part of the Method remains yours to take up, adapt, or set down, with your body autonomy guiding each decision.
How the Method Unfolds
Every person enters the Method from a different place. The four movements give the work a shape, one you can move through at your own pace and return to whenever you need.
Reconnection
The work begins with noticing. The fatigue, the tension, the moments of ease. Awareness and presence open a line of communication with your body that may have been quiet for a long time.
Reframing
With that connection in place, the meaning of wellness begins to shift. Care becomes something that supports your life, shaped by compassion and by what your body actually needs.
Self-Trust
Over time, your Body Wisdom becomes easier to hear and easier to act on. Choices about rest, nourishment, movement, and care begin to come from your own knowing.
Integration
Holistic practices settle into the rhythm of your days, honoring your physical, emotional, and energetic needs. This is where care becomes sustainable, adapting as your capacity changes.
Body Relationship® Coaching offers direct guidance through each movement. The Body Relationship® Circle holds them in a library you can return to at your own pace.

What This Method Makes Possible
The changes the Method makes possible tend to show up in ordinary moments: in how you speak to yourself, how you make decisions, and how you move through spaces that were never designed with you in mind.
Peace with the body you have today
A relationship with your body rooted in compassion and connection, shaped on your own terms and at your own pace.
Wellness choices that feel like your own
Advice, trends, and expectations become things you can weigh against what you know about your body, and set aside when they don’t fit.
Room for flare-ups and hard seasons
When your capacity shifts with chronic illness or a difficult stretch of life, you can rest, pause, or change course and stay connected to your care.
Confidence in spaces that weren’t built for you
Medical appointments, fitness settings, and wellness conversations become places where you can name what you need and advocate for it.
Who This Method Serves
The Body Relationship® Method was built for people who have rarely seen themselves reflected in mainstream wellness.
For people of size, who have been measured against weight long enough to know how little it says about care. For people with marginalized identities, whose cultures and lived realities are too often treated as an afterthought. For people navigating chronic illness, whose capacity shifts in ways most wellness advice never accounts for.
And for those who have tried to do wellness the conventional way and come away exhausted, or simply unseen.
If wellness has ever felt like it was made for someone else, this Method was made with you in mind.
How to Get Started
Each pathway carries the full Body Relationship® Method, at a different depth and pace. You can begin wherever your capacity is today.

Frequently Asked Questions
Who created the Body Relationship® Method?
The Body Relationship® Method was created by Ivy Felicia, a Certified Holistic Wellness Coach, Reiki practitioner, and Herbalist. She developed it from her own lived experience and more than a decade of professional practice, and she continues to guide its application through coaching, community, and education.
Is the Method only for people navigating chronic illness?
Chronic illness awareness runs through every part of the Method, alongside a deep understanding of body marginalization. The Method also supports people of size, people with marginalized identities, and people looking for wellness practices shaped by their capacity, context, and lived reality.
Is this a clinical or medical approach?
No. The Body Relationship® Method is a wellness education and coaching framework. It does not replace medical or mental health treatment, and it is designed to work alongside any care you are receiving.
Is the Method weight-neutral?
Yes. Weight loss and body change are never goals within the Method. The focus is the relationship you have with your body, whatever it looks like and whatever it needs.
What makes the Method different from other wellness coaching?
The Body Relationship® Method begins with your relationship with your body and builds every practice from there. Its four Core Principles and four movements give that work a clear structure, grounded in lived experience, weight-neutral care, and chronic illness awareness.
Do I need to feel good about my body to begin?
You can begin wherever your relationship with your body is today, including if it feels strained, distant, or complicated. The Method meets you there.
How do I know which pathway is right for me?
Body Relationship® Coaching offers the most direct support. The Body Relationship® Circle offers a self-directed library, with live workshops in its Gather tier, and the Method Guides let you explore on your own.
