The Body Relationship® Method

Your relationship with your body shapes every wellness decision you make.

That's why tending that relationship isn't separate from wellness. It's the foundation of it.

Wellness doesn't fail people,
systems do.

Care that meets you where you actually are.

Wellness has long been framed as discipline, productivity, or perfection. Those models leave out people living in marginalized bodies, people navigating chronic illness, and anyone whose life comes with true challenges. They quietly fail organizations too.

The Body Relationship® Method was built on a different foundation.

Created by Ivy Felicia and grounded in lived experience, professional training, and systems level insight, the Method treats wellness as a relationship, shaped by capacity, context, and care.

The framework

The Body Relationship® Method

What becomes possible when wellness is built around your actual life rather than an idealized version of it?

You already have a relationship with your body. It formed over years, through appointments where you were not believed, through comments that stayed longer than they should have, through seasons when your capacity changed without asking permission.

That relationship is doing quiet work all the time. It shapes which advice you can actually receive, what kind of care feels available to you, and what happens when your body asks for something inconvenient.

The Body Relationship® Method gives that relationship language and structure. It becomes something you can understand and work with, rather than something running underneath every decision without a name.

Four core principles

What the Method is built on

Whether the work is personal or organizational, these four principles stay the same.

Relationship Over Control

Care that responds to what your body is telling you, rather than a set of rules applied on top of it.

Capacity Over Performance

Support built around what is actually available to you, on the day you are actually having.

Context Matters

Access, circumstance, and history change what care is possible. The approach changes with them.

Care Is Not Compliance

Well-being that does not ask you to prove you are trying hard enough to deserve it.

Where the Method lives

Two ways in

The same framework, applied in two directions. One begins with a person. The other begins with the systems people live and work within.

Support for Organizations

In a client's words

“Looking at myself in the mirror was uncomfortable for me… I didn't trust my body, perception, or intuition… When I'm tired, I rest! When I'm hungry, I eat! I no longer feel guilty about putting my body's needs first.”
