About Ivy Felicia
Ivy Felicia is the creator of the Body Relationship® Method and a wellness educator whose work begins where most wellness spaces stop, with the people they were never designed to include.
My practice holds weight-neutral care, chronic illness, and body image healing together, because that’s what makes wellness accessible and affirming for people with marginalized identities and bodies.
Where this work began
I grew up as a Black girl in a large body, in a world that made its opinions about my size, my race, and my gender very clear. For more than 25 years, I tried to earn acceptance by changing my body. I believed my appearance was the problem, and I spent years in cycles of restriction trying to solve it.
Holistic wellness changed the direction of my life. It taught me to care for my whole being: body, mind, emotions, and spirit. For the first time, my worth had somewhere to stand apart from my appearance and my size. That was the beginning of making peace with my body, and the beginning of my passion for wellness as a healing practice.
Living with chronic illness deepened what I was learning. My body’s needs shifted, sometimes from one day to the next, and the way I cared for myself had to shift with them. Wellness became a way to connect with my body and care for it as it is, adapted to what I actually need.
Those lessons became the foundation of the Body Relationship® Method. They’re why wellness sits at the center of the Method, and why every part of it is built to adapt to capacity, context, and lived experience.
My lived experience is a source of insight, discernment, and ethical responsibility in this work.
Professional Grounding
My work draws on more than a decade of professional practice, held alongside the lived experience that shapes how I show up for the people I work with.

A proprietary framework and registered trademark
Over the years, I’ve supported people across a wide range of identities, bodies, and life stages, and I teach and facilitate in both community and professional settings. That grounding gives the Method its structure, so care can be compassionate and hold up in real life at the same time.

The Body Relationship® Method
I created the Body Relationship® Method to give people a way of caring for themselves that begins with their relationship with their body. It rests on four Core Principles and unfolds through four movements, each shaped around capacity, context, and lived experience.

Advocacy
I served as a consultant and content creator for the Campaign for Size Freedom, a national effort to pass legislation ending height and weight discrimination in cities and states across the United States. The campaign was led by the National Association to Advance Fat Acceptance (NAAFA) and the FLARE Project, with support from Dove.
Organizations
I also bring the Method to organizations through consulting, training, and speaking.
